Zackary doesn’t believe he deserves love or forgiveness.
Ever since he betrayed a packmate, Zackary has been making up for his sins. No matter what, he knows the truth. Once a mongrel, always a mongrel—just like his father always told him. Now the mad wolf has returned to torment Zackary and the pack.

The Reading Rush, formally known as Booktubeathon, is a
yearly read-a-thon. It consists of 7 reading challenges along with daily Video
and Photo challenges as well. This year they have a website that you can sign
up and create a profile. I will leave all the information at the end of this
post in case you would like to join as well! It is a weeklong and it runs from
the 22nd of July through the 28th. A lot of people take
part and they create TBRs as well so if you like this kind of post you should definitely
see there post. So, without further to do here is my TBR:
Dark Visions by L.J. Smith. Now I know what you are thinking
732 pages in one week plus all the rest of the challenges?! I have lost my mind
right? But I am only counting one story out of this book instead of all 3. The paperback
I picked up from the library has 3 stories in it. I am only reading one for
this read-a-thon. Which one just yet I do not know. I am hoping to read the
first story this week and the second one for the read-a-thon. But there is a
chance that I will love this so much that I fly through the first two and save
the third for the read-a-thon. So it is kind of up in the air at the moment.
What made me pick this up is because I read the Night World Series by her and
love them. I know she also wrote the Vampire Diaries as well, but I never read
This one is short and sweet. I loved the first two in this series. So much happens in so many few pages. I did not realize how few pages it was but it is perfect to sit and read in one sitting. I know a lot of people I have seen decided to do a graphic novel for this challenge, but I do not have any of those and did not find any from the library I was interested in reading.
Dance with a Vampire by Ellen Schreiber. This is one that I meant to pick up last year. I could have used Blood Witch here as well but it was like 50 pages shorter than this one so I traded the two. This is a fun series and it is a easy read. I do not go into these as a reviewer but as a person just reading for fun. There are some issues with them and they are kind of cheesy but I love them none the less.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I know this is
not the first book she has published but it is the first of her trilogy that
got main stream attention, so I am counting it. I have heard great things about
this trilogy and wanted to give them a try.
The next one is The Things She’s Seen by Ambelin and Ezekiel kwaymullina. This is one that as I was hunting through the library for a book with a non-human main character struck my eye. I read the synopsis and found that our main character was human but now is a ghost telling us this story. It counts, right? Well I am counting it plus it is short and sweet.
For this challenge I choose Court of Frost and Starlight. Now you know that I had to work some of my Tbr into this right? And I could not resist this one any longer. It is one that I am dying to read. I know I will definetly finish this one even if it is not during the read-a-thon. I have been dying to read it since I finished A Court of Mist and Fury. I picked this up and have not had any time to pick it up. But now I have a reason to pick it up!
Okay do last by not least is A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. This will be my first Patrick Ness and I can not wait. I know nothing about this and don’t need to know anything. So many people have said so many great things about this. I know Lala from BooksandLala gave this as a recommendation for this challenge. I picked this up after I watched her video but I still am really pleased and interested to get into this one. I am so excited to get to this one.
Since I have seven books on this TBR I hope to complete the Bonus as well. So are you participating if so leave your username below so I can follow you and here is all the information if you decide you do want to participate. The offical Website will tell you in much more detail about the read-a-thon. And my user profile is also linked in case you would like to become friends.
